This page provides information regarding my online Privacy Policy. This policy only relates to activities of this website, and does not affect information you may provide to me, or my office people, in any face-to-face, telephonic, or other contact not made through this website.
What information do I collect?
I collect information that you provide to me when you fill out a form, such as your name and e-mail address. You may, however, visit my site anonymously. In fact, unless you fill out a form providing us with your personal information (such as on my “Contact Us” page), I do not collect any personal information relating to you, or your visit here. Furthermore, even with respect to the use of the “Contact Us” form, I recommend that you do not make any admissions of guilt, or otherwise state information not already known to law enforcement sources. The form is really there primarily to give you another avenue for reaching out to my office to schedule a free interview.
What do I use your information for?
Any of the information I collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:
To process transactions. Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product or service requested.
To send periodic emails. The email address you provide for order processing, may be used to send you non-confidential information and updates pertaining to your case, in addition to receiving occasional company news, updates, related product or service information, etc. I may also use it once your case is concluded to send you a link so that you can leave feedback regarding my handling of your case. Such feedback will appear on my “Testimonials” page, so that potential clients can see what past clients have had to say about me.
Note: I do not “subscribe” you to any automated emails of any kind, and all emails generated by me, or my office, are done so by either myself, or my staff, specifically sending the email to you.
How do I protect your information?
I implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you enter, submit, or access your personal information. These mostly pertain to the security measures built into the software utilized (such as the contact form software), or Internet protocols, and network architecture (such as firewalls for my office network). In addition, I do not collect any payment information via the Internet, and you should not include any private information such as your Social Security Number, or any credit-related, or bank-related, information via the “Contact Us” form. Since we do not collect payment via the Internet, we do not need that information.
Do I use cookies?
Yes. I may collect information about your computer, including your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and in order to create reports. This is statistical data about my users’ browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual.
The cookies in use on my site include those for Google Analytics. Google Analytics is a web analytics tool that helps website owners understand how visitors engage with the website. Google Analytics customers, such as myself, can view a variety of reports about how visitors interact with their website so that they can improve it.
Like many services, Google Analytics uses first-party cookies to track visitor interactions as in my case, where they are used to collect information about how visitors use my site. I then use the information to compile reports and to help me improve my site.
Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer’s hard drive. These cookies are used to store information, such as the time that the current visit occurred, whether you have been to the site before, and what site referred you to the web page. In some circumstances, if you have permitted Google to track it, the Analytics software may provide me with aggregate information regarding the ages, and some other characteristics of my visitors. By “aggregate,” this means that I will receive statistics that tell me, for example, how many people of a certain age have visited my website. It does not tell me who you are, and it does not provide me with information that could be used to identify you.
As noted, Google Analytics collects information anonymously. It reports website trends without identifying individual visitors. You can opt out of Google Analytics without affecting how you visit my site – for more information on opting out of being tracked by Google Analytics across all websites you use, visit this Google page.
How do I respond to “Do Not Track” signals, or to other “mechanisms” that advise me you do not want your Internet use tracked?
I personally have not implemented anything that I am aware of which may track your Internet use. Therefore, there is nothing built into this website that responds to “Do Not Track” signals, or other “mechanisms” that advise me you do not want your Internet use tracked, as there is no need to respond. For more information relating to third-party software that may be utilized with this website, see “Third party links” below.
Do I disclose any information to outside parties?
I do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who may assist me in operating my website, conducting my business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. I may also release your information when I believe release is required to comply with the law, enforce my site policies, or protect my rights, property or safety or the rights, property or safety of others. In reality, as relates to your personal information, this will be pretty much mean I never release your personal data because I am an attorney, and your contact with me seeking legal advice, to schedule an appointment, or to hire me, is privileged. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses as noted elsewhere in this Privacy Policy.
Third party links
This website utilizes WordPress software to operate. To my knowledge, that software does not track your Internet use. (If it does, that is not something available to me. For more information on WordPress, visit their website.) This website may use Jetpack software, a WordPress “plugin,” to track the number of visitors, and page hits. I have no control over how that plugin works, but to my knowledge, it does not collect any personally-identifying information. Occasionally, at nt discretion, I may include, or offer, third party products, or services on my website. For example, I have an embedded Amazon® page under my “Store” tab from which you can purchase items from Amazon®. These third party sites, such as Amazon®, have separate and independent privacy policies. I therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, I seek to protect the integrity of my site, and welcome any feedback about these sites. My website also occasionally provides links to other websites (especially blogs, and news websites) for informational purposes. Obviously, I do not know anything about their privacy policies, and I do not have any control over what they do.
Childrens Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance
I am in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Childrens Online Privacy Protection Act), and I do not intend, desire, or plan to collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. If I learn that anyone under the age of 13 has utilized the “Contact Us” form, the information is deleted. My website, products and services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older.
Online Privacy Policy Only
As noted at the top of this page, this online Privacy Policy applies only to information collected through my website, and not to information collected offline.
Terms and Conditions
There are no “terms and conditions” required of you in order for you to access this website. You may, however, wish to read my “Disclaimer” on my “About This Website” page.
Your Consent
By using my site, you consent to my web site Privacy Policy.
